Spring Registration is approaching! Below is helpful information about the process; please review all of it.
The registration information for Spring 2012 has been updated. This site will provide steps to be prepared for a successful web-registration
Online registration begins November 8th at 8:00 am for AAS students who have been studying for more than one semester.
Online registration begins November 9th at 8:00 am for AAS students who began studying in summer or fall of 2011.
HOLDS
Log into your MyNewSchool account to check for holds. In the Self Service/ALVIN box, click on ‘Student Academic Information,’ then ‘View Holds.’ You must contact the office that placed the hold on your account in order to have it lifted prior to your registration date. Removing a hold can sometimes take up to a few days.
If you have a hold on your account, you will not be able to register until you resolve the hold.
COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Spring 2012 courses and class times are now listed in classfinder on my.newschool. Find course descriptions there.
To determine if you are eligible to register for a course, please see the pre- and co-requisite information along with any notes under ‘Open To.’
CREDIT REQUIREMENTS
To earn an AAS Degree, you must complete a total of 65 credits of coursework. A maximum of 31 credits of undergraduate coursework may be transferred (up to 21 liberal arts credits and up to 10 studio elective credits). A curriculum chart of your program requirements and suggested course of study can be found there.
ADVISING APPOINTMENT
If you need advice please make an advising appointment with Brian Maasjo sometime between Monday, October 31st – Monday, November 7th using his online scheduling link. You can also follow up with him after online registration has begun, as the online system will stay on throughout November.
You will receive a separate email regarding your ALT PIN and specific start times either tomorrow or early next week.
